And cola, chocolate first.

The Mouse went on a search mission. The Cat miscalculated and ran out of chocolate-covered coffee beans. The beans are an “in case of emergency break glass” item during the busy season. The nearby See’s Candy Shop was out of stock. Small local shop.

Dark Chocolate Covered Coffee Beans

Since The Mouse was there, he picked up chocolate-covered graham crackers and Oreo cookies, pics later.

The Mouse also picked up a package of cacao powder.

Package

The Mouse usually uses chocolate powder, but this package has no sugar. Try try.

Also, The Mouse did an impulse buy.

Japan Pepsi

From the nearby grocery store, Japanese owned. Cheaper, bigger bottle, regular, not diet. Good try.

Be safe, eat good.

Sugar Plums?

Treats from Chef H and M.

Chocolate Covered Marzipan
Cinnamon Somethings

Not sure what this are, cookie? biscuit? cake? The Mouse thinks best with black coffee, kinda extra sweet.

Plum Jam

Chef said jam goes great with foie gras, as if everyone has foie gras in the refridge. Sigh. Sometimes Chef has a different point of view. Chef said also good on toast or with pork. Thanks Chef. Hee hee.

For those that celebrate, Merry Christmas!

Be safe, eat good.

Sunset Dinner

Valentines’ Day is tomorrow. The probability of dinner on Monday is zero to nil. Saturday dinner instead.

Sunset
Sashimi / Sushi

Hamachi sashimi and ikura nigiri. The hamachi was really fresh.

Salad

Sensei Farms Lettuce: Avocado, tomatoes, sesame seeds, tofu croutons, fresh herbs, edamame, wafu dressing. Mmm. Good salad.

Kona Kampachi

The Mouse thinks roasted, included snap peas (underneath) (no picture). One of the best preparations of snap peas The Mouse has tasted (his opinion). The server substituted rice out of regard that dairy might be in the potatoes. Much thanks.

Roasted Pacific Sea Bass

Kabocha squash, Thrive Farm’s bekana, yuzu shichimi dressing. The Cat traded the bekana for The Mouse’s snap peas, a little hard for The Cat to chew.

Desserts

Macadamia Cake: Marinated pineapple, rum, coconut gelato (on the side).

Chocolate Cremeux: Hawaiian sea salt, cookie crunch, vanilla chantilly cream (on the side), chocolate sauce.

The Mouse liked the cake, The Cat favored the cremeux. πŸ™‚

Stay safe and well.

Acai Bowl

The Mouse mixed the acai sorbet with yuzu lemon. Because it was Halloween, the dessert shop offered one free topping, The Mouse ordered crushed Oreo cookies. Mmm!

The cat order two scoops.

Two Scoops

Chocolate sorbetto and pistachio. For her free topping, The Cat ordered crushed mixed nuts. The chocolate sorbetto had deep chocolate flavor, light, and refreshing. Added to the list of favorite flavors.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse

p.s. The Mouse bought The Cat a pair of pajama bottoms and a pair of travel chopsticks for her treat bag. πŸ™‚
