Also known as “throw everything in the pot/bowl” meal. But since it’s October … Hee hee.

To begin, yesterday’s massive plate lunch.

Plate Lunch

Bulgogi, galbi, BBQ chicken, sides, and rice. Enough for at least 2 1/2 (or more) meals. Warehouse owner continues to support small business customers by partially paying for Wednesday lunches. Good deal.

The Mouse’s bowl last night, a little bit of lunch, a little bit of roast pork and char siu (see previous post), a little bit of freezer vegetable, and a little bit of freezer won ton.

The Mouse’s Bowl

Nom! Missing two bolts, lightening, and kamaboko. Hee hee.

For color, The Mouse’s fruit dish.

Fruit

Yellow kiwi and Mandarin orange. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

Chinatown “grocery” store. No fresh food, just dry and canned goods.

Bamboo Shoots

Dunno if there is a difference between winter and other seasons. Maybe The Cat knows.

Mushrooms

Looks like shiitake mushrooms to The Mouse. Picture when the can is opened.

Preserved Vegetable

The Mouse always knew this as spicy pickled mustard cabbage hearts. Condiment to noodles or steamed with sliced pork belly -Ono!

Mixed Grain Rice

Eventually end up in The Cat’s bento.

Sorghum Rice

An unfamiliar ingredient for The Mouse. A try try item. Have to Google.

Weather was still soggy yesterday (blue skies today) but cleared enough for The Mouse to venture out.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Saturday schedule a little whacked. Didn’t get up as early as I wanted. Doctor appointment, errands, ended up at AJ’s Chinese Fast Food for their buffet.

Plate

Char siu with kogi bits :), grilled chicken, smashed cucumber, eggplant, smashed tofu with green onion, beef and broccoli.

Plate

Mushroom chicken, more beef and broccoli, more tofu.

One drawback of buffets, no take-home cat and mouse bags. Sigh.

Giant Pink Pig with Wings

At one of the shopping malls on the way to a Japanese grocery warehouse. Why is it here? I dunno. To remind us that anything is possible?

Gingerade

Office receptionist shared a bottle with The Mouse. Did taste “fermented” like ginger beer. Not bad, have an extra bottle for the cuz P.

Banana, Orange

Dinner lite.

Time to Zzzz.

Enjoy. Eat well.
