Brown rice jook, cauliflower, chicken feet. The brown rice kinda threw the theme a little off. Oops.

Option to listen to a particular album of The Beatles while eating. The Cat opted not to but slurped anyways. hee hee.

Bowl of Noodles

And chicken feet. Hee hee.

The Mouse couldn’t decide what to do with the chicken feet he picked up last week. In the end, simply soup. Long and slow. Apple cider vinegar, star anise, whiskey.

First serving, a bowl of soba noodles, chicken feet with soup, more whiskey, dried seaweed, asparagus.

Chicken Feet

Getting harder to find at the market. Guess The Mouse could go to Chinatown.

Of all places to find chicken feet, Whole Foods.

Organic too. Bought a small portion for The Cat’s bento.

Chicken Feet

Also bought a few drumsticks.

Drumsticks

Used the drumsticks to start a broth. Drumsticks, water, ginger, apple cider vinegar, and whiskey. Small batch. Not boiled, gently poached.

About twenty minutes in the hot tub. Hee hee.

The chicken feet went overnight in the broth. Same seasoning.

The Cat’s bento: canned sliced potato, chicken fee, mushroom gravy.
