The Mouse had another doctor’s appointment yesterday. Since he was in town, The Cat sent him on an errand. By the time The Mouse was finished, it was lunch time. Between lunch hour traffic, one way streets, and construction, The Mouse couldn’t get to a few places to take-out. Finally landed at Asian Mix, picked up a roast duck and char siu on rice plate.

Roast Duck, Char Siu, Rice, Choi Sum

Huge portion, reasonably priced. The Mouse barely ate a quarter. Half of the duck, about half of the rice, and a lot of the choi sum went into The Cat’s bento for the next day. Half of the duck and a few stalks of choi sum went to The Cat’s dinner noodle bowl.

Along with spaghetti pasta and canned bamboo shoots.

Another quarter of the rice portion and the remaining char siu is for The Mouse’s lunch today. πŸ™‚

Priced out, each portion comes to three dollars and change. Not bad, “cheap eats”.

Stay safe and well.

Not much happening, The Mouse has to take a blood test, again. Eating has been somewhat uneventful. Unplanned theme this week has been chili, daily specials. Hee hee.

Chili and Thick Cut Fries

From the grocery store. The was a three meal portion. Soooo filling.

Chicken and Mushrooms, Chili Hamburger

Daily special from the take-out up the street. Another three meal portion.

Both chili dishes were comfort food satisfying, however, The Mouse’s favorite chili is still the vegetarian chili from Zippy’s. πŸ™‚

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse was craving. He was trying to lay off the rice and especially the gravy, but … call it a cheat day. Hee hee.

Meatballs and Gravy Plate Lunch

Mmm! From the lunch wagon that stops by the warehouse. Six bucks! Not gourmet, gravy wasn’t the best, package maybe? Meatballs were decent. The Mouse even opted for green salad, no dressing to balance. Plate lunch served its purpose, cravings satisfied. Small-kid time hanabata days. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.
