The yuzu sorbet, awesome! The lilikoi gel, not so much, just okay.

That ends the weekend of eating. Now back to our regular programming. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.

The couple, L and Mrs. B, that we took here the other night, wanted to return the favor and took us here on the weekend, one of our favorite places for Japanese food. Since I’ve already posted about the restaurant before, I won’t bother you with the details.

Chawanmushi

So good, I had two. Oink oink. 🙂

Unagi Kabayaki

With a container of sanshopepper to sprinkle on, which I did.

Buffet Selections

Yum!

Sashimi Selections

More yum!

Beef for Shabu Shabu

Ate these raw with ponzusauce. Additional yum! (Mrs. B liked it this way too)

Fried Shrimp Maki Sushi

I purposely took the ends. Because. 😉

Ikura

One of L’s favorite sushi ingredients. We asked for, and received, a small portion of only ikura. L was extremely happy. 😀

Japanese-Style Fresh Fruit Cocktail

With kanten, very refreshing to clean the palate.

Key-Lime Pie

A good balance to the rich savory foods.

Volcano Dessert

Compliments of our server, G. Almost big enough to ski off of. 🙂

Cut Away View

Fresh fruit, sweetened azukibeans, vanilla bean ice cream, shave ice, lychee/strawberry syrup, and condensed milk. Ohhh!

Tamago Nigiri Sushi

I had to eat something to counter the Volcano. Even after trying the fancy and expensive sushi, tamago nigiri remains one of my favorite. 🙂

Much mahalo L and Mrs. B., come back soon. Seriously. 😛

Enjoy.

Saturday, dinner, big smile. 🙂

Sashimi!

Chawanmushi

The Cat started to dig into her chawanmushibefore I could take a picture, that’s why the custard has a little “smile”.

Sushi!

N.Y. Steak, Garlic, Grilled Chicken, and Kabocha

Pasta, Japanese Style

The Cat loved this, a little spicy, crispy squid and belly pork (what’s not to like).

More Sashimi!

Shabu Shabu Beef, Sukiyaki Beef and Onions, Simmered Eggplant, and Chicken Katsu

Japanese Curry on Rice

Shrimp Tempura with Dipping Sauce

Dessert

Fruit Cocktail, Japanese Style

Bowl Design

This bowl was so cute, I almost slipped one in my backpack to take home (but then I might be banned from the restaurant, not worth it). 😉
