Served on a bed of sweet corn, yellow and zucchini squash, cauliflower rice, edamame, fresh basil, blistered tomatoes, salsa verde, and grilled lemon. The Cat said salmon was cooked perfectly.
The Mouse went the menu less traveled, since everything was ala carte, ordered two appetizers.
Nueske;s Bacon Steak
Thick-cut, soy-caramel glazed. Mmm. Texture was chewy, taste reminded The Mouse of fried SPAM, in a good way. Hee hee.
SRF Wagyu Meatballs
Sans Parmesan cheese. Very good, definite order again.
Take-out from a hospital, The Mouse visiting a relative.
Manchurian Cauliflower Plate Lunch
Rice, zucchini, and the Manchurian cauliflower. The Mouse thinks the cauliflower was breaded then baked, not to much oil. Interesting taste/texture, The Mouse thinking spicy chicken nuggets, vegetarian style, maybe. The Mouse didn’t mind.
For The Mouse, yesterday’s riced cauliflower was so-so, not much taste, more vegetable than rice. Duh! Today’s bento, The Mouse made a little modification.
Gravy!
Pork belly, cauliflower, riced cauliflower all tied together in gravy (packaged, not scratch), with a sprinkle of turmeric. Gravy makes everything taste better! The Mouse is looking forward to lunch today. Hee hee.
