One of The Mouse’s former bosses (who becomes a client), husband’s birthday. Sorry, confusing. Birthday brunch. Eating House 1840 by Roy Yamaguchi.

The Cat’s Order

Plantation style paella rice stew. Portuguese sausage, chorizo, shrimp, and clams. Tasty.

The Mouse’s Order

Sampler plate: chicken spring roll (ok), Mongolian ribs (tender, fall off the bone, slightly spicy, mmm), tempura spicy ahi sushi roll (ok). Winner was the ribs. The Mouse still trying to cut back, not eliminate extra starch.

For “starch”, The Mouse also ordered.

Crispy Brussels Sprouts

Lemon mint aioli, lup cheong sausage, pepitas. The Mouse shared with The Cat and “birthday boy”. Another winner dish.

Be safe, eat good.

Yogurt and toast, from the previous post.

French Onion Soup – No Cheese

The Mouse really liked this version. Could taste the soup and onions without the cheese goo. Paws up.

Beef Tenderloin Florentine

Apple wood smoked bacon wrapped, soft poached egg, pan sauce, spinach, and Lyonnaise potatoes. Mmm.

Apple Pecan Crumble Pie

So good! 🙂

Chef gave The Mouse two extra pies to take home. Mmm!

Be safe and well.

Sunday Brunch

First Sunday of each month. The Cat’s plates.

Beginnings.

Yogurt, Walnut Raisin Toast, English Jam

This was The Mouse’s plate, Chef made non-dairy, yogurt is coconut yogurt. No gurgling stomach. 🙂

The Cat’s version was regular yogurt, and the toast had Devonshire cream added.

Appetizer.

Steamed Clams

Cream sauce. The Cat was full after the appetizer. Hee hee.

Catch of the Day

Mahi mahi. Salted lemon caper sauce, wilted greens, asparagus, saffron rice.

The Cat’s dessert was a dark chocolate mousse with strawberries, parfait style. Chef gave us a mason jar filled with mousse, cream, and strawberries. The Cat had two breakfasts. 🙂

Forgot to take a picture.

Be safe and well.

Greenish Bunny

The Mouse was kinda weirded out. To The Mouse the bunny looked a little zombie-ish, what do you think? Hee hee.

First Plate

Plumeria House Signature Misoyaki Butterfish, Chicken Marsala with Sauteed Mushrooms (shiitake and morel mushrooms), Atlantic Salmon, Fennel and Orange, Ahi Sashimi, Pickled Ginger, Spring Leg of Lamb (end piece). Mmm x 5. Hee hee.

Plate #2

Poached Shrimp, Mixed Spring Greens topped with Smoked Salmon, more Salmon, fennel, and orange, and more Misoyaki Butterfish. More Mmm!

Dessert Plate

Lilikoi Meringue Tart (best on the plate), Chocolate Mousse Cake (second best), Carrot Pineapple Cake (third), Hot Cross Bun (really dry), Coconut Macaroon (honorable mention), Ginger Snap.

Musical Styling

Brunch music. Other than not too many people were paying attention, it is background music after all, the gig seemed idyllic (fresh air, cool breeze, sunshine). The Mouse left him a small tip just to let him know he was appreciated.

Be well and safe.

Diner Brunch

The Mouse wonders why is it when meeting with sales people, quite often it is a looong process. Ugh.

A necessary appointment with a salesperson. Two-plus hours.

Luckily The Cat and The Mouse learned after the first appointment (the first was over three hours).

Diner at the mall. Weekend brunch menu. Yay!

Loco Moco with Onions
Vegetable Omelet with Hash Brown

Can you guess who ordered what? Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.
