Pre-Costco run, The Cat’s choice. Try try.

Smoked Salmon Benedict

The Cat’s. Although The Mouse had to finish the leftover. Mmm.

Vegetable Benedict

The Mouse’s. Tomato and spinach. More mmm.

The deal-maker was the accompanying fruit. The Mouse thought it might be a few pieces, slice of pineapple (we were in Waikiki after all), one orange wedge or slice, one or two berries. Turned out, The Cat and The Mouse got a bowl.

Fruit Bowl

Strawberries, green grapes, red grapes, blackberries, blueberries, orange, and mint.

The price of the benedicts were reasonable themselves but the included fruit bowl made the breakfast kinda a bargain. Worth a return visit. 🙂

Be safe and well.

Not really, but a tiny dent.

Instant coffee, stevia, monkfruit powder, Ovaltine, cinnamon. Something to kickstart the day. 🙂

More cake texture, denser than cornbread, margarine, honey.

The Mouse bought a square of cornbread from the grocery store a while back, enough for six or so portions. The Mouse warmed this lonely last piece in the toaster, a pat of margarine, drizzle of honey.

The cornbread paired with the “coffee” well. Mmm.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse forgot to pack his breakfast the other day (cubicle eating). Nearest thing to the workplace is a health food store. The Mouse’s main hesitation are the prices, way up there.

Original thought was to just pick up some kinda energy bar, stumbled across a clearance container of curry quinoa salad. Original price was over five dollars for about a third of a pound, marked down to $1.99. Winner (energy bar prices were over two dollars and more).

Curry Quinoa

Small bits of vegetables and raisins (maybe currants), mostly for color The Mouse thinks. The Mouse didn’t go hungry. 🙂

Lesson learned, pack lunch, prescriptions and vitamins, and water bottle the night before.

Stay safe and well.

Something substantial before The Cat went off to work.

Neighborhood take-out.

Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, Rice

The Mouse picked a pre-packed bento from the grocery store.

Oyako Donburi

Colorful yeah? Vegetables, fishcake, ginger. Mmm. Cheap eats too! 🙂

Stay safe and well.

From 7-Eleven no less.

Salmon and Tofu over Multi-Grain Rice

The Mouse’s breakfast, kinda on the small-ish size, just right for breakfast, reasonably priced, not cheap eats. Salmon portion was decent and cooked well, not dry. Bought this before for The Cat, without her glasses on, she thought it was butterfish, nicely cooked. 🙂

Not frequent for The Mouse but a definite buy again.

Stay safe and well.
