The Mouse’s “Weird” Eats

Not “weird” to The Mouse but understandably maybe “weird” to others. That’s okay, more for The Mouse. Hee hee.

One of our favorite sushi bars has this dish Omatsuri Natto. Natto with uni, ikura, ahi, ika, yamaimo, okra, and quail egg. The Mouse never ordered because he would be the only one eating. Sigh.

The Mouse made the stripped down version with leftover poke.

Poke and Natto

Dunno if this combo is a local thing but a couple of poke shops sell this combo over rice. Nom!

Dinner was still finishing the package of liver sausage.

Braunschweiger Slider Plate

Multi-grain dinner rolls, shiso, bread and butter pickles, turnip kimchi, and grape tomatoes. Yum!

The Mouse’s “Moco”

The Mouse jus’ puttering around in the kitchen. Still on the liver sausage theme.

One Bowl

Lentils, tomato, turnip kimchi, bread and butter pickles, pickled okra, Braunschweiger sausage, and just to be decadent, a fried egg. Toasted sesame seeds and shoyu to finish. Nom!

Probably not everyone’s bowl, The Mouse liked. 🙂
