Impromtu Bento

The Cat went to work yesterday. Since downtown is basically shut down during the weekend, The Mouse assembled a “what’s in the refridge?” bento.

Rice, furikake, sardines, boiled choi summ, and soft cooked egg from the ramen shop.

The Mouse thinks “not bad” for a “rush job”. 🙂

The Mouse made for The Cat’s bento the other day.

Brussels Sprouts, Cleaned and Split

Olive oil, salt, coconut vinegar, 350 degrees, 50 minutes.

Yesterday, The Mouse cooked peanut soup for The Cat. Blanched peanuts, simmered for hours, peanut butter powder, chicken stock, and mustard cabbage to finish.

The Mouse finally timed a visit to the mall ramen shop when there was still rice available. 🙂

Ramen style chasiu, not Chinatown style charsiu, but this ramen shop makes good chasiu, tasty and meaty. Mmm.

While not extremely cheap eats, decently affordable. Hee hee.

Continuing the series of working through Chef H’s vegetable gift basket. This time The Mouse roasted beet root and boiled snap peas.

Leftover bread rolls, leftover lamb chop (meat portion), boiled carrots, and beet roots. Mixed Plate. 🙂
