One Pot

The Mouse’s dinner.

“Beans and Frank”

Sorta. The Mouse’s method. Rummage through the refridge/freezer and throw things in. Black eye peas, hot dog, spinach, parsley, broccoli stems (because The Cat doesn’t eat broccoli stems), salt, lots of black pepper, and a little shichimi togarashi.

Quick too, about 20 minutes total.

The Mouse nommed. ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy. Eat well.

Taco Friday

Hmm, The Mouse missed it by a couple of days. Hee hee.

Doctor appointment and errands after work. The Cat attending a dinner. The Mouse on his own hunting for food.

Taco “shack”.

Storefront

The Mouse just made it in time before closing.

The taco plate.

Two Carnita Taco, One Ground Beef Taco, Rice and Beans

The taco, especially the carnitas, fantastic. Slightly spicy, in a good way, tender and moist. The rice and beans were alright. Priced decently. Definitely will return.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Pork and Beans

The Mouse style (no recipe).

Start with …

Pork Belly

Browned, lightly salted. Simmered overnight with water, apple cider vinegar, whiskey, liquid smoke, and ginger.

No garlic, The Cat’s stomach and garlic are not friends.

In the morning, added a can of beans.

Can

The Mouse didn’t do the regular pork and beans beans (Navy, I think?) these beans were larger, and since the pork belly was chunky, The Mouse thought a better fit.

Simmered for about half an hour. The Mouse thought about adding a package of gravy, but already flavorful, might be too much.

Pork and Beans, The Mouse Style

Went into The Cat’s bento, and maybe dinner for The Mouse. ๐Ÿ™‚
