Posts Tagged ‘Baked potato’

The hamburger patty and half baked potato from yesterday.

Lunch

Warmed and topped with pork liver spread. Mmm.

My doctor is probably throwing a fit and to be honest, the food was a little heavy in the stomach, but very tasty, and for a once in awhile eats, worth it. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse can digest Butter!

I know, not earth shaking. The Mouse has been trying to figure out what he can and cannot digest dairy-wise. Even with lactase supplements, which reduce the side-effects of not digesting lactose to a degree, sometimes there are unwanted reactions. Butter is supposedly low in lactose.

The Mouse tested the other night.

Burger and Baked Potato

Ruby Tuesday at the mall allows substitution of fries for any of their sides, free. Yay!

Between fries and baked potato, The Mouse will most time choose a baked potato, doesn’t feel as heavy in his stomach.

The Mouse usually likes his baked potato, butter only, sometimes bacon and chives. Sour cream would be a no, The Mouse didn’t want to push his luck.

To be cautious, The Mouse took a lactase supplement dose.

Result, no unwanted after effects. Okay, there was just a tiny amount of gas, but nothing to be concerned about. 🙂

TMI? Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Mouse Treats

Short post today, just stuff The Mouse ate yesterday.

Snack

Extra rice at the warehouse, leftover from lunch, someone cooked a big pot. Fermented soybean, salted cabbage. Yum!

Yesterday was the last day of a steak promotion at the nearby Ruby Tuesday, The Mouse wanted to try the whole month but never got to it. Had to yesterday.

Not Sweets, Steak

The Mouse’s treat. Half is his bento today. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.

Nostalgia

Two things, first, my father didn’t like spicy foods, but he liked chili. He wasn’t a chili snob, he could and did eat chili from a can (he also liked the chili from Zippy’s). Second, my father wasn’t a fan of fast food, he wasn’t a burger person. That being said, he didn’t mind the chili from Wendy’s. Whenever we ended up at Wendy’s, which was occasionally at best, he would order their chili and a baked potato.

I was passing by the Wendy’s near the airport a little before lunch time yesterday and decided to check it out. I think I haven’t been to a Wendy’s for at least a decade. Tastes the same as before.

Baked Potato with Ketchup

I know, ketchup on a baked potato, weird right? You eat French Fries with ketchup don’t you? Same difference to me. 🙂 Plus, substituting ketchup for sour cream is less fattening, I think.

Have a safe and happy new year.

Enjoy.
