The Mouse finally got to try Egghead Cafe. Used to be located where parking was an issue. Moved near the warehouse. Made a Costco run yesterday (the warehouse is currently located really close to Costco). The Mouse picked up late “brunch” after.

Avocado Toast

Avo corn toast: avocado corn spread, basil aioli, paprika, added soft scrambled egg.

Dish was good, The Mouse would have preferred a more aggressive seasoning, maybe some chili flake? The corn did not excite The Mouse.

Porky Bowl

Rice, braised pork belly, fried egg (crispy), and pickled vegetables. The Mouse liked this one. A little dash of ponzu at home, and yum.

A good try try.

Stay safe and well.

Possible. Hee hee.

The Mouse ran an errand to Costco yesterday.

Kiwi

The Cat wanted.

Heading out, he was tempted by the food court.

Food Court Menu

Before, The Mouse would stop for a hot dog and drink, $1.50 plus tax. A steal. But, the temptation couldn’t overcome the want to “eat well”.

So, The Mouse’s dinner.

Black-Eyed Beans, Okra, Natto with Chili Sauce

And

Smashed Avocado on Brioche Bun

Just salt and pepper, no other enhancements, not even toast. Nom!

Much better (eating well-wise) than a hot dog. At least last night. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Turkey on the Brain

The Mouse still has turkey on the brain.

Turkey Burger with Avocado, Bacon and Swiss

No cranberry sauce nor gravy, and lactose pill needed, but it’ll do. Yum! Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Not any mouse, The Mouse. Hee hee.

Savory

Steamed okra, guacamole, natto. Squishy and sticky. Hee hee.

Sweet

Kiwi, tomato, starfruit.

No, The Mouse is not turning to the dark side.

A hot pot event is scheduled for this weekend. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.

The usual Sunday routine is farmers market, “brunch”/lunch, mini hibernate, “light” dinner.

Yesterday was a little different. “Early” breakfast (before farmers market).

The Cat’s order.

Fire-Roasted Portobello Mushroom & Avocado Benedict

With grilled local tomato & fresh spinach. Hash brown (crispy), and fruit slices.

The Mouse’s order (French Toast sandwich) took a little assembling.

Ani’s Cinnamon Bread French Toast Sandwich

The Mouse thought order would come assembled, but, it was DIY.

Two Farm Fresh Eggs, Four Strips of Bacon

Menu says two strips of bacon, and two link sausages, The Mouse asked to make it four strips of bacon, skip the link sausage. Hee hee.

The Mouse’s Open-Faced Sweet Bread French Toast “Sandwich”

A little drizzle of syrup and shoyu (that salty sweet thing). 🙂

Bacon was crispy enough to eat in hand.

Dinner was an “adventure”. Post soon.

Enjoy. Eat well.
