Not Ceremonial

The Mouse bought at the grocery store.

Match

Just add hot water.

Matcha

No tea bowl, no tea whisk, no kneeling. Just a mug. Hee hee.

The Mouse will be alternating between matcha and coffee. 🙂

And with matcha, The Mouse needs a little sweet.

Corn Bread, Bread Pudding

The Mouse ate one bread pudding, sent the rest to The Cat’s office. 🙂

Be safe, eat good.

Just Pics

The last of the scones.

Scone

The Mouse not sure what flavor this was. Maybe vanilla?

Instead of coffee, The Mouse drank cooled (not iced) green tea.

Tea

Cheap bag (under four dollars for 50 bags) of green tea bags from Japan, makes the best cool/cold green tea.

Stay safe and well.

Thai Tea

The Cat had a craving. Back to the Japanese/Vietnamese neighborhood restaurant.

Thai Tea

Taste was okay, too much ice. The Cat’s will request less ice next time.

Round Eye Steak with Tendon Pho

The dish is becoming one of The Cat’s regular orders.

The Mouse had BBQ (grilled) chicken. No picture, nothing much to see. Hee hee.

Purple Potato Tapioca

A good non-dairy dessert. The Cat and The Mouse are working their way through the varieties. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Iced Green Tea?

At Yajima-Ya on Sunday, instead of iced water, they served iced green tea. Very refreshing. Server explained tea comes from Japan specifically for iced tea.

The Mouse bought from the grocery store yesterday.

Green Tea

Based on the pictures, this could be used for iced green tea? Maybe a project for The Mouse this weekend. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Oh, and to those who served and are serving, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Lunch wagon that stops in front of the warehouse daily.

Lunch Wagon

Even the signage says lunch wagon (not a food truck!). Yesss!

A few (maybe one) selections at $8.00 or $9.00, mostly $6.00.

Since it was Friday, and The Mouse’s first time, he “splurged”.

Combo Plate

Kalua pork and cabbage, roast pork, salad option. All for (drum roll) $7.00! A steal! To top it off, food is pretty tasty, not gourmet, but certainly above average (especially at the price point). Definitely will be returning.

Tea Bags

Tonight’s dinner, something small for the general manager. He is not into sweets, but The Cat knows he drinks tea.

Something to Rest His Tea Bags On

One kinda modern Raku-ish, one more traditional. The Mouse couldn’t decide so bought two. The Cat picked the black one, the other one goes into our dish cabinet.

Which one would you choose?

Sunset pictures and maybe fire tonight. hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.
