Food Court Finds

Kinda part 2 from previous post. The Cat ran an errand at Macy’s, The Mouse browsed at the food court nearby.

The Mouse and The Cat found a few noms for dinner (small noms, not major entrée stuff).

BBQ Chicken Maki Sushi

To The Mouse the sushi was like a hybrid between Japanese maki and Korean kimbap. Whatever, it was Mmm. The Mouse’s one suggestion would be to include a little kimchi.

So, while The Mouse was inquiring about his free bread, The Cat found (and bought) these.

Bakery Noms

Kuro goma (black sesame) mochi donut and yuzu (citrus) melon pan (or is it melonpan). Anyways, a kinda sweet bread roll. The Mouse thought he could taste yuzu zest in the roll. A good try try. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

Sushi and a Cookie :)

The Mouse was in the mood for sushi, not the fancy sushi bar variety but the simpler kind. Picked up two variety packs from the old timey sushi shop near the grocery store, Kozo Sushi. Seems like it’s been there forever.

Sushi Packs

Tamago nigiri, nori maki, inari, shinko maki, cucumber maki, more shinko maki, and tamago maki. Mmm, The Mouse was happy.

The Mouse also picked up a ube cookie from a kiosk vendor specializing in “stuffed” cookies.

Ube Cookie

The Mouse bought an unstuffed cookie. The stuffed cookies sounded much too sweet for The Mouse. The cookie was huge, shared with The Cat, cookie was sweet enough and nommed. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse did a “large” pharmacy run. Picked up a sushi snack pack on the way home.

Sushi Snack Pack

Pickled turnip, cucumber, and egg maki roll. Mmm, made to order. Big difference from already packed from the grocery store.

The remainder of The Mouse eats were leftovers and fruit. Tasty, but not interesting reads. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Reduced section at the grocery store (after doctor’s appointment).

Sushi

Cute yeah? Lined up neatly. Normally, The Mouse would not but reduced sushi, but being there was no raw fish, probably safer.

Cucumber and pickled turnip. Being that the tray was in the reduced section, the rice was a bit dry, but still edible, and for the price …

The Mouse didn’t have to prep starch for dinner, just open and eat. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.
