Ground Pork

No major soup this week. No chicken feet, pork hock, nor oink tail (aren’t you lucky). This week we thought we’d change it up with ground pork.

The Cat seasoned a package of ground pork.

Salt, sugar, ginger, green onions, splash of Shao Xing wine, shoyu, and sesame seed oil.

Pan fried the batch.

After cooked, the pork can be used as a base for stir-frys, steamed dishes, or quick soups.

Last night, chopped up turnip greens.

The Mouse’s normal recipe, throw everything together and hope for the best. Salt, sugar, whiskey to taste.

Ingredients.

The process.

Tofu, cut up, boiled, drained, squeezed dry

Tofu, cut up, boiled, simmered, drained, squeezed dry

Bitter Melon in hot pan, Oil to coat bottom

Add tofu, stir

Add black bean garlic sauce, approx. 1 tablespoon

Finish with a drizzle, optional.

Back in the Kitchen

Yesterday cooled off a bit. Still hotter than usual, and humid, but cooler and less humid than the last several weeks. Finally can turn the stove back on.
