The reason The Mouse didn’t get a hot dog from Costco the other day. Bought a container of lime cilantro shrimp. Two bento, two lunches, one dinner, five meals total.

Plate Lunch

Mentaiko onigiri and crunchy ume and wakame onigiri from the Japanese warehouse market near Costco. Mmm. Happy meal for The Mouse.

Lunch #2

Cilantro lime shrimp with chickpeas. Not as fancy as lunch #1 but tasty in itself. Chickpeas, one of The Mouse’s favorite “bean” food. Another “happy meal”. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

Salad? Mixed-up? Dunno, but The Mouse liked. 🙂

Lunch

The last of the Costco shrimp from the weekend, wilted Napa cabbage, tin of sardines, cocktail sauce. Mmm. Not photogenic, but satisfying eats.

Stay safe and well.

Costco run for fruits and vegetables (apples, oranges, Brussels sprouts, kabocha squash, yellow kiwi). The Cat and The Mouse tried the prepared food for lunch.

Pork Ribs
Shrimp Cocktail

Enough food to eat for a few days, five portions each at least. Overall, not bad. The ribs are very meaty, the shrimp, plentiful. May occasionally do this again. Maybe next time, the roast chicken.

Oh yeah, The Mouse also bought a hot dog and drink combo from the “food court”. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

Not quite, but close enough. The Cat and The Mouse thought to avoid the crowds at eve and day. Kinda celebrated on the eve eve. Chop suey place in the next town over.

Shrimp Omelet

One of The Cat’s favorite.

Pot Roast Pork

Tender and moist, well-cooked.

Roast Duck and Char Siu over Rice

Lunch special with two crispy won ton. Mmm.

Oyster Sauce Chicken over Crispy Noodles

Another lunch special.

Choi Summ

Happy year of the tiger.

Stay safe and well.

Chinese food (Yen Yen Chinese Cuisine), allows eat-in for now. Our go-to chop suey (Kin Wah) is still take-out only. The Mouse has been here before, first time for The Cat.

The Cat ordered.

Pork and Watercress Soup
Cold Ginger Chicken
Shrimp Omelet
Long Bean with Pork

Everything was good and tasty, The Cat prefers the cold ginger chicken from Kin Wah, still edible though.

A back-up choice for Chinese food in the area. Yen Yen is a bit of a drive, about fifteen minutes compared with Kin Wah, five-minutes.

Stay safe and well.
