Chinese food (Yen Yen Chinese Cuisine), allows eat-in for now. Our go-to chop suey (Kin Wah) is still take-out only. The Mouse has been here before, first time for The Cat.

The Cat ordered.

Pork and Watercress Soup
Cold Ginger Chicken
Shrimp Omelet
Long Bean with Pork

Everything was good and tasty, The Cat prefers the cold ginger chicken from Kin Wah, still edible though.

A back-up choice for Chinese food in the area. Yen Yen is a bit of a drive, about fifteen minutes compared with Kin Wah, five-minutes.

Stay safe and well.

Morton’s The Steakhouse running a holiday dinner prixe fix dinner menu. One appetizer (half portion), one entrée, one side, one dessert.

Both The Cat and The Mouse started with jumbo shrimp cocktail.

Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail

Nom! Next time, The Mouse is going to request extra horseradish. Mmm!

Again, both The Cat and The Mouse ordered Ora king salmon.

Ora King Salmon

This dish is nice because included is a bed of mixed vegetables (cauliflower, edamame, tomatoes, etc). Other steak dishes do not come with the vegetables (Manago hotel plating).

Desserts were different.

Key Lime Pie for The Cat
Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake for The Mouse

The cake lived up to its hype, legendary. 🙂 (The Cat got the ice cream).

Stay safe and well.

Fishy Friday

Coincidence, not planned.

The Cat’s lunch:

Sautéed Mahi Mahi

The Mouse got leftover fish and the onion and caper topping. Mmm.

The Cat’s dinner, The Mouse cleaned (not cleared) the fridge. The Cat requested lighter dinner.

Soup

Canned clams, clam juice, zucchini, asparagus, wakame, salt, hint of angel hair pasta.

The Mouse’s dinner:

The Mouse’s “Mess”

Pasta shells, canned pink salmon (The Cat doesn’t like), wakame, olive oil, salt and pepper. Afterthought, The Mouse should have used some of the capers and onions from The Cat’s leftover to garnish. Oh well.

Stay safe and well.

No, not that kind of fish bowl. Not for watching, for eating. Hee hee.

The Mouse’s dinner.

Fish Bowl

Sardines, garlic shrimp, and anchovies over steamed brown rice. Mmm Nom! Roasted Brussels sprouts for color. Hee hee.

The Mouse had to use mouthwash after eating but worth it. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

Same place, Ruby Tuesday, twice.

First time was to take the person that help set up the home remote computer. The second was so that The Cat could get her mudd pie (the first time, The Mouse forgot his lactase pills, sigh).

The Cat’s plates.

#1

Cajun shrimp skewers with dirty rice and broccoli.

#2

Half rack of ribs, baked potato, broccoli.

The Mouse’s plates.

#1

One pound ribeye steak, Ruby Tuesday running a monthly special. Two baked potato because The Mouse knew this plate would be multiple meals, three actually. So good, The Mouse may go back for one more before the promotion ends. 😉

#2

Hamburger steak with gravy and mushrooms. Mmm.

Weirdly, on day 2, even with lactase pills, The Mouse still had a minor colon cleanse, sorry TMI. Maybe too much lactose at one time.

Stay safe and well.
