In this case, the early Mouse gets breakfast/brunch/lunch.

It’s the first week all schools are back in session. Morning rush hour is not “rush”. The Cat carpool has been leaving earlier to beat the “sitting in a parking lot” syndrome.

Got to the office a little too early (not allowed to start soooo early). What to do? Get food!

Happy Mouse

Happy Mouse!

Fried rice, scrambled eggs, luncheon meat, vienna sausage, and SPAM! Mmmm! Pork products. Ordered scrambled eggs this time, not over easy, planned to graze, not inhale, scrambled eggs hold up better over the long haul.

Not to worry, I did get my daily veggies.

Dinner was a “throw everything together, no recipe” deal.

Curried Veggies

Stir-Fried Curried Veggies

Celery, edamame, carrot, tofu, raisins, curry powder. “Dry” style, little sauce, no milk or coconut milk. The Cat liked.

For dessert, brought home two mochi someone brought to the office to share.

Mochi

Mochi

Dark chocolate truffle mochi and milk chocolate and chunky peanut butter mochi. Imagine if a Reese’s and sticky rice had a kid. Hee hee.

The Mouse liked both (and I’m not a serious mochi fan), The Cat was meh.

Happy Friday!

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Cat had lunch at Jade Dynasty again. The waiter remembered the last time we were there they were out of the osmanthus and goji berry gelatin. Gave her a complimentary take out on her way out.

Nice of him. Not much goji berries, but it’s more about the osmanthus anyway.

Tonight’s dinner.

Carrot and Peanut Butter Stew

Carrot and Peanut Butter Stew

A little ground pork, carrots, Vegemite, ginseng paste, soy sauce (both heavy and light), ginger, green onion, and a big glop of peanut butter.

At first I thought this was even weird for me (tasted pretty good, and The Cat didn’t mind it). Looked up peanut butter stew on the internet afterward and lo and behold, there is such a thing as peanut stew (Senegalese or West African). Must’ve subconsciously remembered reading about it a long time ago. Yay! I don’t have to wear a t-shirt that says “Not allowed in kitchen unless accompanied by a chaperone”. Hee hee.

I  think next time, I’ll add in pork belly or bacon, maybe both.

Enjoy. Eat well.

OMG!

From Max and Lucy’s (568 Halekauwila St., Honolulu, Hawaii)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bacon Muffin

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bacon Muffin

All the three major food groups in one neat package. A good balance between the chocolate and peanut butter, and then the bacon, perfectly executed, not greasy. Needless to say, both socks off, way off.

Definitely going back for more. Just not too frequently, can you imagine the calorie count of this thing?

Enjoy.  Eat well.

Bacon Cinnamon Rolls

Bacon Cinnamon Rolls

Taken from here: http://cheezburger.com/7896787712?ref=rightarrow&siteId=75.

Now, I don’t bake, but this seems easy enough for even me to try without too much stress (no exact measuring or exact procedures).

Eat well.

No rice ball today. Thought I’d try something different. Bought this the day after Halloween from Whole Foods.

Chocolate Squares

Chocolate Squares

Original price was $9.99 (which I thought was outrageous). Marked down to 99 cents. 🙂

Not real smooth and a little too bitter for our taste. Works good for  peanut butter sandwiches though.

Now if I only had some marshmallow creme or regular marshmallows (and a blow torch). Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.
