Hamburger, Baked Potato Substitute for Fries

Ribs, Mango Kiawe Sauce

Teri-Chicken Plate

Family style, take a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Enough food for The Cat and The Mouse to take two bento each for lunch.

Stay safe and well.

Fish Lunch

Warehouse owner had an idea. Order lunch from one of our customers, help them out a little. Pilot test. Owner pays for half the cost, instead of having us pick up the whole tab.

The Mouse wanted to order the hamburger steak with gravy, but he would be in no shape in the afternoon. Nap time. Hee hee.

The Mouse went with the breaded fish instead.

Breaded Fish Plate Lunch

Three large pieces of fish (dunno what kind), bed of rice (most went home for The Cat’s meal), green salad, soy bean sprouts, and lots of tartar sauce, yay! A pet peeve of The Mouse is when there’s not enough tartar sauce.

The Mouse was glad the lunch came with salad and vegetable instead of mac salad. Nothing wrong with mac salad, just a little healthier.

As a bonus, the controller kicked in the other half of the cost for the accounting section. The Mouse got a free lunch. 🙂

Owner hinted he might be sponsoring more of these support customer lunches during this pandemic situation, with him personally supplementing the cost. Nom!

Stay well and safe.

Lately, for some reason, The Mouse has difficulty finding lunch on Saturdays. Yesterday was no exception. He couldn’t change lanes fast enough to reach a Japanese musubi and curry shop, the nearby golf course restaurant was closed for a private event. Ugh! The Mouse made his way here.

The Mouse has been here before, a little out of the way for him, not as far as the other side of the mountain, but still, next town over.

Char Siu and Roast Duck on Rice

One of their lunch specials. good taste, good quantity, fair price. The Mouse took home half.

Also ordered a lunch plate for take-out, bento prep.

Lunch Plate

Beef with vegetables, cold ginger chicken, pot roast pork, rice, crispy wonton.

Two plates, four decent meals. Good deal.

Too bad the place is not closer. Maybe just takes a little more effort, and gas, on The Mouse’s part.

Heading out to the farmers market then brunch with doctor friend at Chef H’s restaurant. More exciting and expensive pics to come.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Two of The Cat’s lunch pics.

Shoyu Pork

Little Japanese take-out place in a courtyard next to The Cat’s office. Newly discovered by The Cat. She will be frequenting more often.

Smoked/Braised Pork Shank

At the Irish pub down the lane from The Cat’s office.

The Mouse tried a little of both. Both were nom. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Mouse’s dinner last night.

Stuffed Cabbage Plate Lunch

The Mouse has not had stuffed cabbage for years, used to be one of his father’s favorite. The take-out from neighborhood take-out joint known for their fried chicken and its variations.

Not bad. the stuffing was denser than what The Mouse is used to, but all in all, not bad.

The Mouse is happy that the side is a choice, not just mac salad. Last night The Mouse chose kimchi.

Side note, The Mouse has to remember he is still a “patient”. a bit of trauma/drama last night. Today is rest.

Enjoy. Eat well.
