Not sure what’s on the left, salt, pepper, and olive oil perhaps? Right was stir-fried? Fried saimin style. The Mouse preferred the right side.

That’s it for today. Not much.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Both The Cat and The Mouse worked late the other day. Stopped at the neighborhood Italian cafe (missed the early bird discounts), saves cooking and washing time. Tried to keep the eating “light”, until … Sigh.

Pasta Primavera

We were doing pretty good, a good portion of the food were taken home for later consumption (spreading the calories over a longer period of time, Hee hee).

Then dessert kinda happened.

Apple and Cinnamon Crisp

The Mouse thinks it’s still ok, since there were apples in the dessert. That’s The Mouse’s story and he is sticking to it. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Cat’s Sunday reserved for hibernation, it’s still tax season. Post-hibernation meal, early bird at the neighborhood Italian cafe.

Shrimp Scampi

Since there were little vegetables, a side of veggies.

Side Veggies

Of course, there were leftovers.

Due to The Cat’s schedule, it was up to The Mouse to finish the leftovers.

A little Chinese Napa cabbage, a little Vegemite for flavor, leftover pasta and shrimp, a drop or two of whiskey, because, why not. Heat to combine.

Pasta and Shrimp, The Mouse Modified

Italian? Chinese? Australian? Fusion! Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Bacalao Salad and Pastele

A try try on the way home. The Mouse liked. Saved one of the pastele for The Cat’s lunch this week.

Char Siu Puff Pastry

Leftover from The Cat’s lunch. 10 minutes in the toaster oven, good to go. Hee hee.

Next, The Mouse’s weird eats, hope co-worker V is not reading. Her leftover spaghetti from lunch she gave to The Mouse.

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

The Mouse explains. Small-kid time hanabata days, The Mouse’s first encounter (and ultimate reference point) with spaghetti/pasta was from a can, then at elementary school, baked spaghetti by the awesome cafeteria ladies. There was no such thing as “al dente” and “sauce to complement the pasta” in The Mouse’s food knowledge quiver.

To this day, The Mouse will order pasta at restaurants “cooked past “al dente” and extra sauce.” Just a preference.

So, to “adjust” the spaghetti to The Mouse’s palate, added a can of tomato sauce and cooked the spaghetti just a little more.

The Mouse’s Plate

This was very nom! Thank you V, your leftovers went to good use, in The Mouse’s tummy. Hee hee 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.
