Yesterday, abnormal schedule. packed light, no home bento nor oatmeal for The Mouse.

Breakfast.

Oatcake

And lots of coffee.

Testing samples.

Noodles

Not you can distinguish, there are three different noodles/pasta samples (from Japan). Thin (kinda ramen-ish), medium (think thin udon), and thick (pasta). The Mouse liked the thin and medium, the thick was a bit too chewy for The Mouse.

Lunch was from the lunch wagon that stops by. The Mouse got lucky, shoyu pork!

Shoyu Pork, Greens

The Mouse really trying to cut down on the carbs hence the all greens request (usually comes with two scoops of rice).

The shoyu pork wasn’t pork belly, but lunch wagon chef cooked it perfectly, tender, tasty. Definitely a reorder item.

Super late night, thank goodness Micky D’s offer their breakfast burrito all day and night long. No picture.

Sriracha from the pantry and The Mouse is good.

The Mouse completed the day with an oatmeal cookie, also from Micky D’s. Oatcake for breakfast, oatmeal cookie at the end. The Circle was complete. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

From the lunch wagon that comes around to the warehouse daily.

Char Siu Plate Lunch, No Rice, All Greens

Ketchup and Sriracha for dressing, warehouse made kimchi (bottom left corner). Nom!

Also, the shiso came up for another season. Yay!

Shiso Leaves

Some kinda worm/bug got to the plants last season. Hopefully better luck this season.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The attached K-12 school had their “spirit week” this past week. Invited food trucks on campus the whole week. The Mouse resisted until yesterday.

Aloha Friday Plate

With local greens instead of mac salad. Overall, not bad, although, The Mouse prefers the grocery store plate, a little more quantity and a little lower cost.

Cubicle neighbor had his pastele stew.

Pastele Stew

Again, opting for greens instead of mac salad. Guess we’re all watching our svelte waistlines. Hee heeĀ gag!

Not sure if the stew version is local or if there are other “stew” out there. Anyone know?

Three day weekend. Whoohoo!

Enjoy. Eat well.

Mmmmm!

Truck is sometimes gone Thursdays and Fridays, their catering bookings are picking up. Good for them, the truck is part of a local rehab program, workers on the truck are part of the program. Eating well, helping other get back on their feet. Twofer!

Enjoy. Eat well.

Stomach is 95 percent back to normal. I think once the nasty clam left stomach reset itself. Today, stomach was gassy (excuse me, sorry), and hungry. I had in mind a smoked meat plate lunch, but that lunch wagon didn’t show today (maybe went to a different location?). Sigh. No matter, try a different lunch wagon.

Notice they call themselves a lunchwagon? Not a food truck? Old school represent!

Thought I’d better go easy, just in case.

Chicken and Squash Stew, Garlic Fried Rice

Chicken and Squash Stew/Soup, Garlic Fried Rice

Not sure where this dish originates from, Philippines, Japan, Okinawa, dunno. It’s good though, simple, tasty, and “clean” (not too much oils). The fried rice was a surprise too. More like “Spanish rice” style, not so much Chinese, again, tasty. Hit the spot.

Dinner.

Chicken Salad with Cranberries on Politically Incorrect Bread

Chicken Salad with Cranberries on Politically Incorrect Bread

From the downtown 7-Eleven. Very tasty. Must be from their “gourmet” line. Would definite purchase again.

BTW, since I was “out” yesterday, co-worker saved some donuts for me. Cute yeah?

Two? Must think I’m an oink, not a squeek. Hee hee. Thanks M.

Enjoy. Eat well.
