The View (One of Many)

Fruit Plate

The mango was a surprise, although The Cat said the mango was ripe but could be sweeter.

Avocado Toast

Pesca Loco Moco

An ahi patty, rice, seafood gravy. The Mouse normally prefers traditional loco moco ingredients (hamburger patty, brown gravy). but this order was a winner. Given the opportunity, an order again item. 🙂

Be safe and well.

Diner Brunch

The Mouse wonders why is it when meeting with sales people, quite often it is a looong process. Ugh.

A necessary appointment with a salesperson. Two-plus hours.

Luckily The Cat and The Mouse learned after the first appointment (the first was over three hours).

Diner at the mall. Weekend brunch menu. Yay!

Loco Moco with Onions
Vegetable Omelet with Hash Brown

Can you guess who ordered what? Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse ran an errand for The Cat, he planned to pick-up lunch in the area but got turned around and a little lost, GPS on phone was a little confused.

The Mouse went back home and picked up “mini” plates from the neighborhood take-out.

Loco Moco

Portion was large enough to fill The Mouse.

Mapo Tofu

The Cat made two bentos for work. The Mouse just needs to add a little vegetable.

The Cat brought home an order of twice cooked pork from her lunch.

Twice Cooked Pork

The Cat avoids eating bell peppers and leeks. The Mouse will probably end up eating the vegetables while The Cat will eat most of the pork.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse’s bowl, it had the “spirit” of a loco moco, just different. 🙂

Brown rice (instead of white), steamed egg (instead of fried), anchovies with oil (instead of hamburger patty with gravy). Mmm!

The Mouse acknowledges this might be an acquired taste (especially the anchovies), but The Mouse really liked.

And the steamed egg (three minutes) created a better “gravy” than a fried egg (squishier). Less clean-up too. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

So, the place The Mouse picked up his maguro burger from also has omurice on the menu. The Mouse wants. There was a thought that after doing some work at the warehouse yesterday, The Mouse would get the omurice. The Mouse stayed a little longer than planned and didn’t want to drive across town for food.

The next best thing, drive through at Richie’s Drive Inn.

Loco Moco

Massive. Two scoops rice, two eggs, two burger patties, scoop of mac salad, and gravy all over. All for less than $10! Cheap eats.

The warehouse butcher supervisor is right, their gravy is the bomb! Nothing fancy, probably packaged with some in-house modification, no French name, but oh so good.

Plus there are some of the components of omurice (it’s a stretch, but work with me), rice, eggs, gravy. Kinda yeah?

Of course, a visit to Richie’s cannot be without a cup of green river.

Green River

Don’t worry, The Mouse couldn’t and wouldn’t eat the whole thing in one sitting (maybe thirty years ago). Even eating less than half put The Mouse into a food coma.

One day, one the timing is right, omurice! Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.
