This past weekend, The Mouse bought Chinese parsley for The Cat, she had leftover oxtail soup. Couldn’t finish the whole bunch, a little wilted.

The Mouse put them in ice water for about 1/2 hour. Refreshed. The Mouse thought about getting a banh mi sandwich, but it would’ve been too filling, unscheduled sampling at the warehouse. Opted for half a roasted chicken Subway instead.

Added the Chinese parsley and a couple of shiso leaves to the mini sub.

Shiso is Back

The Mouse is happy. Shiso is growing in the little pot again.

Hope the bugs don’t get to all of it.

The Mouse added two leaves to his sandwich.

Kind of a slow day yesterday.

Our second generation shiso plants are thriving.

I think the plants are better than the first generation, bigger leaves.

The Cat had another after-work training session. The Mouse had a choice. Take-out or bachelor cooking. Bachelor cooking it is. Frozen peas and carrots, tin of tuna.

“Cat Food”

A drizzle of avocado oil, a sprinkle of sea salt, and a turn of cracked pepper and The Mouse is good to go. Whenever The Mouse makes “mixed food”, The Cat calls it cat food. Humph. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

New Shiso

Our shiso plants that started several months ago were withering and dying. The Mouse thought that was the last of them until maybe next year.

But, the weekend, new plants started.
