Washing Strawberries

The Mouse used to be reluctant to buy strawberries, any berries for that matter, spoils easily. Trick taught to The Mouse by one kitchen prep cook.

The Mouse bought a basket of strawberries from Costco.

Strawberries

One part generic white vinegar, four parts water, soak twenty minutes. Drain, rinse thoroughly, store uncovered. So far, works.;)

Strawberries and Apple

The Mouse likes. Mmm. 🙂

Stay safe, eat good.

A Splurge

The Mouse had an eye doctor’s appointment yesterday. The eyes are less blurry, current prescription, little stronger than necessary, left eye has the possibility of beginning glaucoma, more tests to follow.

Anyway, a stop at the nearby Korean grocery store. A rare find.

Hachiya Persimmons

Over here in SPAM Land, the Fuyu variety is easier to find. Must be easier to ship. The Mouse opened the package, already starting to ripen, a good thing. Hope it’s a good buy. The Cat appreciated the effort.

Since The Mouse was there… Hee hee.

Vegetable Gimbap

Recommended by M. Good choice. The Mouse’s serving of veggies. 🙂

Braised Potato

Going into The Cat’s bento. Paw up.

Be safe, eat good.

The Cat is on a business trip. The Mouse is eating her fruit, the fruit won’t last before she comes back.

Papaya, Banana, Yellow Kiwi

Oat Milk

The Mouse prefers over nut milks. 🙂

Hot Coffee/Chocolate

Nestle hot chocolate powder, Hershey unsweetened chocolate powder, Ovaltine malted chocolate, ground cinnamon, ginger powder, instant coffee, oat milk. The Mouse kinda overdid the ingredients, just experimenting, probably will cut out the Hershey powder and ginger powder, maybe even the ground cinnamon in later versions.

Be safe, eat good.
