The Mouse had to pick-up his prescription near the airport. “Chinese-American” eats nearby. Throwback decades ago when Chinese food was “exotic”. Restauranteurs here would offer Chinese food, burgers and fries, and plate lunches to appeal to the masses. To The Mouse, this place is a rare-find relic to the past.
The Mouse’s original plan was won ton soup with vegetables and a burger. An accurate order would have been saimin and a burger (It’s a local thing), but The Mouse is a rebel. Hee hee.
But Saturday special noodles was cheaper. Remember, The Mouse is sometimes “pake”.

Crispy Gau Gee Mein
Gravy, not soup, gau gee, not won ton, fried not steamed. Same same, hee hee.
Before, at these Chinese-American places, cornstarch slurry is a constant friend. Same here.
To make a true “Chinese-American” experience, The Mouse also ordered.

Hamburger Delux
Everything for less than 10 bucks! Prices must be throwback too! Hee hee.
Not to leave The Cat out, The Mouse picked up half a roast duck for her dindin and bento protein.

Roast Duck
The Cat’s verdict? Not bad, Chinatown is better, but it’s decent. No complaints.
Enjoy. Eat well.
