The Mouse running errands after work yesterday, The Cat left work relatively early. No time to prep and cook. Quick run to Pan’s Kitchen (new favorite cheap eats spot) for dindin.
Notice the breakfast special in the window, offered all day.
The Cat’s order, she said not bad, but The Mouse’s simmered pork belly much softer and juicier.
Rice, two eggs, corned beef hash, The Mouse’s order, with ketchup, sriracha, and shoyu accompaniments.
The Cat still doesn’t understand how The Mouse can eat breakfast for dinner, dinner (leftovers) for breakfast. To The Mouse, food has no time table, food is food. Hee hee.
Enjoy. Eat well.

Okay, finally got all (I think all) of the pictures. Since it’s a perceived milestone birthday (for Aunty M), The Cat wanted to go to someplace different (and maybe special). Lunch reservations at Yauatcha Waikiki, specializing in dim sum and tea.
Now, this ain’t your typical Chop Suey joint, think fusion between a higher-end dim sum establishment and a European night club.
Chili oil, chili paste with anchovies (or could be dried shrimp, XO sauce?) pickled cucumber (these knocked The Mouse’s sock off), and soy sauce.
Very nicely fragranced (perfumed?).
Another winner! Definitely order again. Perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Of course, birthday meal, have to have noodles.
Another dish The Mouse would be happy to order again.
Raspberry, Manjari chocolate, lychee. Presentation and taste. Nom!
Rich and decadent. Perfect for b-day.
Matcha green tea, lavender vanilla, and I forgot the last flavor. Aunty M was full.
Aunty M, you da bestest. Happy b-day!
Enjoy. Eat well.

A spontaneous “eat out” suggestion by The Cat. Just made it to one of our current favorite neighborhood spots, Zia’s (on the dot). Server could have said we were too late (wouldn’t have faulted her, traffic was terrible), but she gave us a ten-minute window to order past the happy hour close (extra tip).
In the rush, The Cat ordered the appetizer.
The Cat not used to fruit and cured meat together. Not her palate. That’s okay, The Mouse deconstructed it, ate the fruit for dessert, took the Prosciutto for lunch. Win-win.
Since no time to prep The Cat’s lunch, ordered a little bit more for planned leftovers.
Happy hour price, $1.00 for a cup!
Mixed greens, bleu cheese, pear, mac-nuts, red onion, red wine vinaigrette.
Zucchini, mushrooms, beets, bell pepper, sun-dried tomato pesto.
The Mouse’s, see, still on track with the “eat more veggies” goal. 🙂
The dishes with the goal of taking home for The Cat’s lunch.
And.
At the end, I think we saved at least $6.00 at happy hour prices. Good deal!
One more day until the weekend, woo hoo!
Enjoy. Eat well.
