The Mouse did a site visit yesterday. Visit ended mid-morning. Brunch. Hee hee.
Location
Special of the Day
Fried rice omelet with tomato and green onion, and toast. To The Mouse, kinda had omurice vibe, sorta. The Mouse did squirt ketchup after taking the picture. 🙂
Since The Mouse rarely visits that side of SPAM Land, loaded up on take-out noms.
Established restaurant Tango Contemporary Cafe, new owner/chef.
“Classic” Burger
Seven-ounce beef patty, grilled onion, bacon, sunny side fried egg, and side salad. The Mouse liked that the burger was complete, no need to order add-ons (bacon, egg, etc). Overall, pretty good. 🙂
Open-Faced Shrimp Salad on Croissant, Side Salad
Lots of fresh shrimp and veggies. Overall, not bad, could’ve used more dill herbs.
All in all, new owner, new chef, new staff, The Cat and The Mouse will wait a bit for “dust to settle” before going back. \ooo/
The Mouse was kinda weirded out. To The Mouse the bunny looked a little zombie-ish, what do you think? Hee hee.
First Plate
Plumeria House Signature Misoyaki Butterfish, Chicken Marsala with Sauteed Mushrooms (shiitake and morel mushrooms), Atlantic Salmon, Fennel and Orange, Ahi Sashimi, Pickled Ginger, Spring Leg of Lamb (end piece). Mmm x 5. Hee hee.
Plate #2
Poached Shrimp, Mixed Spring Greens topped with Smoked Salmon, more Salmon, fennel, and orange, and more Misoyaki Butterfish. More Mmm!
Dessert Plate
Lilikoi Meringue Tart (best on the plate), Chocolate Mousse Cake (second best), Carrot Pineapple Cake (third), Hot Cross Bun (really dry), Coconut Macaroon (honorable mention), Ginger Snap.
Musical Styling
Brunch music. Other than not too many people were paying attention, it is background music after all, the gig seemed idyllic (fresh air, cool breeze, sunshine). The Mouse left him a small tip just to let him know he was appreciated.
