A “dangerous” question when talking with Chef H. The Mouse dropped off something for Chef H. (he just bought a new “toy” and The Mouse found an accessory thought he would like). Chef mentions he is making lemon biscuits for brunch service. The Mouse passed on the information to The Cat, and reservations were made form brunch. Hee hee.

Muesli and Lemon Biscuit

This is The Mouse’s bowl. the regular order added yogurt and Devonshire cream.

Abalone and Wild Mushroom Chowder
Tomato Salad

Chef topped the salad with several thick shavings of truffles. Mmm, a treat.

Of course, since we are at his kitchen, The Mouse asked for a few anchovies for the salad.

Anchovies
Kona Crab Eggs Benedict

Locally produced egg. The Cat nommed.

Slow Roasted Prime Rib

With potato and veggies. The Mouse nommed, and nommed the leftover too. 🙂

Tapioca Pudding
Mango Sorbet with Berries

Here’s the kicker. there were several cancellations and no-shows for brunch. Chef had extra biscuits, he sent us home with a box.

Lemon Biscuits

Thanks Chef H! Mmm! 🙂

More accessories on the way.

Stay safe and well.

The Cat ordered pork shank for brunch yesterday.

Pork Shank, Guava Glaze

The shank was well-cooked, just a little too salty for The Cat’s taste. She took most of the shank home.

The Mouse took the bones and the connective tendons, simmered for an hour or so, added carrot and leftover rice. No added salt.

Pork Shank and Rice Soup

The salty taste was absorbed by the rice, diluting the flavor (a good thing). The Cat liked.

The Mouse will be applying for soupmaker position at Campbell Soup. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Yesterday’s lunches.

The Cat’s

Corned beef hash and eggs. The Cat thinks first time trying scratch-made, not from can.

The Mouse’s

Curry chicken plate lunch, the mini-sized (still had leftover for Monday lunch). Not the slow cook stew style, the Chinese stir-fry style, no potato nor carrots. A new favorite from the neighborhood take-out (along with spicy eggplant). Mac salad, because it’s the weekend. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.
