The rest of the food, after the Jamon Iberico.

Deep-fried shishito peppers. The Mouse liked.

Flamenco Egg

Baked egg on vegetable stew. The Cat liked.

Spanish omelette. The Cat liked.

Cold tomato and papaya soup.

Josper Grilled Porchetta

Pork belly stuffed with rosemary, garlic, and thyme grilled in Josper oven. This item was on the Italian side of the menu.

The porchetta and the Jamon Iberico were the highlights for The Mouse.

The Mouse would definitely reorder. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh! Here is the oven.

Josper Oven

Forgot to ask server if oven was brought over from Spain or Italy. Next time.

Be safe and well.

New-ish cafe/bistro in grocery store – Et Al (that’s the name of the eating place, go figure). The main dishes were alright, the appetizers were worth eating again.

Ludovico chicken liver mousse, strawberry
tomato jam, grilled sourdough.

The Mouse really liked the chicken liver. Good substitute for foie gras (The Mouse’s opinion). Definite order again, next time with more toast. Hee hee.

Little gem lettuces, smoked salmon,
pickled red onion, everything spice

The kitchen was kind enough to substitute the caper buttermilk dressing for a lemon vinaigrette. Another order again item.

Hawaiian clam chowder, ulu, smoked meat,
clams, grilled sourdough.

The Cat’s soup. Clams so fresh. The Cat liked.

Stay safe and well.

So, The Cat and The Mouse tried the Japanese/Vietnamese restaurant the other day. While there, another customer ordered oxtail soup. Since The Cat likes oxtail soup, we asked him how it was, he said very good. The Cat wanted to try, so the next day we went back.

Oxtail Soup

The broth is same as pho. Not quite what The Cat was expecting but still good (and the leftover broth jelled).

The Mouse went with appetizers.

Well made, The Mouse would order again. Mmm.

Spring Rolls

Yes, The Mouse ordered again. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

The Cat’s dinner. The Mouse tagged along. Hee hee. Stage Restaurant. We haven’t been here even before shut-down. Restaurant used to serve lunch but stopped. Kinda “speed bump”.

The Cat wanted to try since a long time.

Amuse bouche:

Roasted beet, herbed wasabi lilikoi vinaigrette, radish, bubu arare. Toast with Sriracha mayonnaise. Both were yum.

Close-up of the roasted beet. ๐Ÿ™‚

Fried Brussels sprouts: applewood smoked bacon, balsamic reduction. Dish normally has Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top but because of The Mouse’s digestive issues, kitchen kindly left it off. Super crispy. The Mouse could’ve eaten another order. ๐Ÿ™‚

Entrรฉe and dessert to follow.

Stay safe and well.
