Odds and ends.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal, prunes, raisins, cocoa powder, peanut powder, stevia. Not picture friendly but tasty.

Sardines

Sprinkled with smoked paprika and sumac. Mmm.

Bread Sticks

From Olive Garden. Matches well with the sardines.

“Keto” Salad

The Mouse is not keto, salad was on clearance at the grocery store. Looked fresh, The Mouse bought. The Cat got the egg, pecans, lemon, and some salmon. The Mouse ate the rest. He made a simple dressing of apple cider vinegar and shoyu, no oil. Mmm.

Be safe and well.

The Cat didn’t bring lunch from home. A scheduling snafu at the office. The downstairs cafe.

Sandwich, Salad, Soup

The Mouse made “fast” congee, comfort food for The Cat’s stomach.

“Fast” Congee

Leftover rice, lotus seed, dried fava beans, roasted Brussels sprouts, canned bamboo shoot, wood-ear fungus, salt, and toasted sesame oil to finish. Mmm.

Be safe and well.

Weather, a little cooler than usual. The Mouse wanted vegetable soup.

Frozen spinach, peas and carrots, oatmeal (for body, in place of cream), instant miso soup. No-recipe, thrown together.

Spinach Soup

Quick and easy peasy. Thick-cut buttered toast on the side. Mmm.

Be safe and well.

The Mouse, throwing stuff together, one bowl eats.

Oatmeal and Fava Beans

Leftover rehydrated fava beans, oatmeal, wakame seaweed. The Mouse wanted savory breakfast but also wanted oatmeal. Actually not bad. Not everyday, but once in a while. While eating, The Mouse was thinking about the movie Oliver. Hee hee.

Lunch.

Turmeric Ramen with Cauliflower and Fishcake

The Mouse did not use the included soup packet, sea salt (little bit), and turmeric instead. Not yellow snow. Hee hee.

Be safe and well.

The Mouse’s. Rummaging through the pantry and freezer.

Lunch

Steamed rice, natto, “fish steaks” (large sardines) with green peppers. The natto was frozen. The Mouse threw it into the rice while the rice was “resting” to defrost. Natto lost some of its “slime” but okay otherwise. 🙂

Stay safe and well.
