Epic Burger

Dinner with the Cuzs, Five Spice Kitchen.

Before the burger, the “pupus”.

Lechon Crispy Pork Belly

Crispy lechon, Okinawan sweet potato puree, ginger scallion oil, cherry tomato salad, soy chili pepper water. Nom.

Five Spice Duck

Banh mi pickles, balsamic hoisin sauce.

Fall off the bone, crispy skin. 🙂

Bao Buns

Served DYI.

Now the burger.

Wagyu Burger

Eight ounce burger, house-made brioche bun, Sriracha yuzu aioli, banh mi pickles, thick cut bacon, sharp white chedder, fried egg.

Epic. The Mouse ate it deconstructed with a fork and knife. Huge nom!

The cuzs ordered soup and salad (no pictures) and Snapper “chazuke”.

Crispy Skin Snapper, choy sum, fuikakae and pickled ginger rice, miso consomme

The cuz liked.

Have to take The Cat when she gets back.

A small portion of spicy eggplant leftover. What to do?

Whole Wheat Toast -Margarine (with Flax Seed)


Pan Roast Grape Tomatoes

After the tomatoes “toasted”, added the leftover eggplant and simmered. Served over the toast.

Inspired by a little bit of ratatouille, a little bit of bruschetta, or just call it “cleaning out the refridge”. Hee hee.

Should’ve thought of it at the time and added a fried egg on top. Brain too small. 🙂

The Cat’s Bowl

The Mouse really should’ve considered becoming a ramen cook (not chef). Hee hee.

Saturday’s (and sometimes Friday’s), refridge and pantry become “sparse”.

Dried seaweed, frozen soybeans, celery, turnip, leftover shoyu pork, spicy bamboo shoot, a combo of soba and somen noodles.

The Cat liked.
