This place has been on The Mouse’s radar for a long time.
Finally got here yesterday.
The plan was to go for an early dinner (restaurant tends to sell out of items), but The Cat over napped.
At least we were able to order one of the last portions of burnt ends.
Mmm, tender and fatty. First time try for The Cat and The Mouse. Fans.
The Cat couldn’t decide her choice for dinner, went with kalua pork.
Baked bean, braised red cabbage and sweet rolls (sold out of house-made cornbread). The Cat was slightly underwhelmed. The kalua pork was like other kalua pork. Maybe the restaurant should offer pulled pork instead, just thinking aloud.
The Mouse has leftover lunch. 🙂
The Mouse fared better.
Both brisket and pork belly were very good. The Mouse saved a portion of the pork belly for The Cat’s bento. Trade.
Dessert was a staple for The Cat.
The Cat approved a provisional return. She will be ordering ribs next time, or burnt ends and sides.
Stay safe and well.
