Old school. One of my father’s favorites, except he didn’t have the patience to cook the onions down, his was crispy.
The Mouse started with a red onion, ’cause it looked pretty.
Thinly sliced, low and slow in the pan with olive oil, turn heat to medium and add tin of sardines (with oil), smash and heat to incorporate. Salt and pepper to taste.
Over steamed rice. Mmm. The Mouse supposes it would be good over pasta too, maybe even ramen. 🙂
