Steamed Pork Belly Bowl

So, apparently, the company/warehouse I work at is exempt from the lockdown. Work as usual.

Dinner.

Thinly sliced pork belly over mixed grains.

The oil from the pork helped flavor the rice. Nom!

For extra oomph The Mouse added an egg.

Shoyu and chipotle sauce. If this was on any dim sum steam cart, The Mouse would definitely take.

Pork Belly

Prepped over the weekend.

Pork Belly

Cleaned and simmered. No sauce/seasoning yet. Update later.

Looks like The Mouse will be on furlough for a while. Mayor has issued a decree effective today at 4:00pm. Staff meeting to announce who is “essential”. Manager has already warned us accounting staff is not essential. More info today.

Home Eats

If don’t need to go out, don’t. The Mouse ate simply.

Breakfast

Instant oatmeal, instant decaf non-dairy coffee. Too bad we don’t have the “Star Trek” instant food appliance. Hee hee.

Lunch

Instant noodles, soybean and Lau Gan Ma garnish. Okay, not so bad, all The Mouse did was boil water. Hee hee.

There is a package of pork belly being defrosted. The Mouse was just being lazy.
