The Mouse likes this more than the original. Not as spicy, in The Mouse’s opinion. More earthy taste, back of the throat warm. Less in your face spice.
Lau Gan Ma Chili with Black Beans
With the spice, mild to medium, a savory component. Only problem with this sauce is oily. The Mouse has to be careful with the stuff. Moderation and focus.

I love mustard, both fancypants Dijon and old fashioned hot dog yellow; I prefer the slow tangy burn of mustard to the pepper fire of chili sauces. But the condiment I use the most is soy sauce, if truth be told. These days it’s low sodium (darn blood pressure) but I crave savory saltiness.
