Sunday lunch. Try try. With Master W and K.
Site is a converted gas station.
The Mouse’s order.
Local Okinawan sweet potato (u’ala), taro (kalo), breadfruit (ulu – when in season) and lū’au leaves soaked in a creamy coconut sauce with your choice of poi, brown rice or millet, tofu poke (plain or spicy) and fresh local greens.
The Mouse liked.
The Cat’s order.
Bed of fresh local greens with tomato, beets, carrots, avocado (when available) and coco-bacon. Choice of our house-made vegan ginger tahini or balsamic dressing.
First time trying coco-bacon, coconut chip bacon substitute. Not bad, The Mouse is not a big fan, but not opposed to it.
The Cat chew chew chewed, got tired, so we switched plates toward the end. Hee hee.
The Cat liked desert.
Our vegan take on “ice cream” (using a banana and coconut milk base), served with pineapple, banana, papaya, our house-made granola, honey, cacao “magic shell” sauce, cacao coconut flakes, and mac nuts.
Funny, although both The Cat and The Mouse were “full”, there was something “missing”. Especially after the vegetarian dinner the other night. Hee hee.
Enjoy. Eat well.
