Food for The Cat’s bento.

“Faux” Kalua Pork

Pork cooked very nicely. And because it was chunks and not one piece, cooked faster (about 1/3 the time). Moist and tender, shredded with a spoon.

Shredded

An added plus, the chunks made smaller pieces than a whole “butt”. The Mouse might be using pork “adobo” chunks more often. 🙂

Charred Brussels Sprouts

Just olive oil, no salt. The Brussels Sprouts will balance out the saltiness of the Kalua Pork. Think Kalua Pork and Cabbage reimagined. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.
