Food for The Cat’s bento.

“Faux” Kalua Pork

Pork cooked very nicely. And because it was chunks and not one piece, cooked faster (about 1/3 the time). Moist and tender, shredded with a spoon.

An added plus, the chunks made smaller pieces than a whole “butt”. The Mouse might be using pork “adobo” chunks more often. 🙂

Charred Brussels Sprouts

Just olive oil, no salt. The Brussels Sprouts will balance out the saltiness of the Kalua Pork. Think Kalua Pork and Cabbage reimagined. Hee hee.
