New-ish noodle spot recommended by one of The Cat’s acquaintances.
Gourmet Sichuan Noodles. Possibility of “it’s gonna be spicy”.
Placemat designed to be kinda like an FAQ.
Numb tongue agent.
.
Actual “fire” control “equipment”.

Felt kinda underdressed, should’ve worn our Mao jackets. 😉
On to the food.
Not spicy. Really good. The Mouse wished there was a baguette around to dip. A small amount of spice in this dish would’ve been appreciated. Hee hee.
Restaurant does not have spice/sauce on the table to “add your own”. Maybe The Mouse should’ve asked. Still, an order again item.
Another dish not spicy. Good taste. The Mouse is taking notes for when he makes his own bone soup.
Okay definite presence of Sichuan peppercorn. Tongue is numb even though we ordered “mild”. Good thing the other dishes were not spicy and could offset the won ton. Still an order again possibility (although The Mouse thinks there is a non-spicy option (won ton in bone soup?))
For some reason, as The Cat and The Mouse age, we seem to tolerate spice a little more than when we were younger, go figure. No not fire-breathing dragon breath kind of heat, but a little more than before.
The Cat approves returning.
Enjoy. Eat well.
