The Cat wanted noodles today. Neighborhood chop suey.

The Cat ordered.

Wor Won Ton Soup Funn

The Mouse ordered.

Soft Won Ton Mein with Gravy

We also ordered

Kau Yuk

Stir-Fried Bitter Melon with Fermented Black Beans

You’re probably thinking too much food? You would be right.

Most of the kau yuk, bitter melon, and some of the look funn is going toward The Cat’s lunches for the next couple of days. Just add rice. 🙂

The Mouse catches a break in the kitchen. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Yesterday, forgot to pack the package of frozen vegetables. Sigh.

Luckily, it was a co-worker’s b-day. His cubicle neighbor prepared fruit instead of a cake.

Grapes, pineapple, apples, strawberries, kiwi, and something called Cara cara.

The Mouse’s

The Cara cara (here’s the Wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cara_cara_navel), my new favorite orange. 🙂

Happy b-day K, thanks for saving The Mouse’s eating day. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Up the street from the campus, recommended by my cubicle neighbor.

Store Front

She said it was better than the grocery store. Who would’ve thought poke in a liquor store.

Thought I’d try something different.

Spicy Crawfish Poke Rice Bowl

So, not quite sure it’s traditional poke, since the crawfish is cooked, but … doesn’t matter to me, It’s all about the taste.

Socks flew off, worked barefoot the rest of the day (metaphorically, not physically). Hee hee.

Like eating a cross between shrimp and lobster, without the hassle of shells. Good balance between mayonnaise and sriracha. Definitely going back.

Since I was there, picked up little somethings for later and The Cat.

Ahi Inamona Poke

Roasted kukui nut. Very good, but, for The Mouse, the crawfish was still better.

Hamachi Poke

For The Cat. The Cat liked. 🙂

A package of fuikake soda crackers in the pantry.

Ahi Inamona Poke Canapé

Nom nom nom.

A great start to a long weekend!

Enjoy. Eat well.

Not a very interesting week food-wise, my apologies.

Microwaved Veggies with Peanut Butter

Still trying to use up that organic jar of peanut butter that is too runny for toast or sandwich. Mixed with mixed veggies, not too bad.

I figure, start out with a mess of vegetables in the morning, less guilt throughout the day. Hee hee.

The office is connected with the campus director of finance and facilities (what a combo). She brings back leftovers whenever she has business meetings.

Breakfast Leftovers

Breakfast burrito, orange, hash brown. The Mouse’s lunch.

Dinner was what was planned for lunch, before the breakfast leftover.

Turkey and Ham on JJ2 Whole Wheat with Shiso Leaf

See, unexciting.

Planning on doing a little bit of exploring for lunch tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Peas on Earth

The office gatekeeper (aka receptionist) had a cartoon of peas standing on the earth, peas on earth.

Thought I’d share but seems like the picture is copyrighted. Didn’t want to get into trouble, but the sentiment is still there.

Somewhat, but maybe not, The Mouse’s dinner tonight.

Soybeans, Turnip, Banana, Smoked Pork

Can you tell I like this compartmentalized plate? Must be a throwback to hanabata elementary school cafeteria days.

Plus, with The Cat still crazy busy, the plate works to cut down washing. Hee hee.

Didn’t have peas in the freezer, had to use edamame as substitute.

Enjoy. Eat well.
