Meals Ready to Eat. The military/survival food packets. Not really. But these came in a packet (and a box).
From Costco.
First time followed the instructions on the package. Rice was a little pilaf-y (Think Uncle Ben’s). Second time added a little bit of hot water. Much better.
Also from Costco.
Again, open bag, add water, nuke, empty contents.
Rice packet number 1 was better, rice packet #2 was a touch too garlic-ky. Maybe if there were bits or chunks of pork (or even bacon or SPAM, hee hee) it wouldn’t be as “potent”.
Found this in the corner of the grocery store, deeply discounted.
I guess not much demand after Christmas. I think The Mouse is one of the few that likes a good fruitcake, jus’ sayin’.
Dried fruit in sweet bread? I’m there.
Alas, the picture looked better than the actual panettone. Good thing the box was deeply discounted. Humph.
Oh well.
Enjoy. Eat well.
