This time for chef P. He chose wine bar.
Frittata. Tasty.
Shared plates.
The Mouse didn’t get to try, after distributing, there was nothing left. The braised shortrib ragu that accompanied the bone was good though.
Chef and Mrs. P liked, The Cat thought coulda had more taste.
Cumin aioli, pickled red cabbage & zatar brown butter.
Konbu aioli & pickled red jalapenos.
Ham hock ragu & white cannellini beans.
The Mouse didn’t think the ragu and octopus matched, The Cat didn’t mind.
Roasted Hamakua mushrooms, sunny-side egg, shaved parmesan cheese and white truffle oil. Picture of what’s left by the time it got to The Cat and The Mouse. One of the guests, sigh, can’t take him anywhere (let’s just say socially impaired).
HOUSE MADE THREE CHEESE GNOCCHI & JUMBO LUMP CRAB
Roasted Ali’I mushrooms, pea shoots, sage brown butter sauce, cauliflower & kabocha pumpkin puree.
While pretty good, The Cat thought gnocchi at the little cafe in our neighborhood was more accessible.
LIGURIAN STYLE “TROFIE” PASTA
Country-style house-made pasta, Hamakua mushrooms, sun-dried tomato & Genovese pesto.
The Mouse echoed The Cat’s thoughts, while good, the pasta primavera at Zia’s is more accessible.
Two down, one more to go.
Enjoy. Eat well.
