The Mouse has a soft spot for school cafeteria lunch ladies. Not the now corporate institutional but the old-timey small-kid time school cafeteria lunch ladies. I still enjoy their style of spaghetti compared with the “little sauce, al dente” style.
The other day, The Cat brought home her lunch leftovers.
While I’ll eat it, not particularly my favorite.
Last night decided to make spaghetti, The Mouse way. Package of pasta, jar of sauce (nothing fancy, whatever’s on sale. “Overcook” the pasta, enough sauce to “drown” the pasta.
The extra sauce went to The Cat’s leftovers to “moisturize” it. Hee hee.
I know, our chef friends are probably gagging right now, “unfriending” us, and deleting our contact information, but, we eat what we like. Not to say we don’t appreciate how things are “supposed to be” but there are “personal preferences” too. C’est la vie! 🙂
BTW, I also don’t mind canned spaghetti (in all shapes and sizes). So there! Hee hee.
“Overcooked and oversauced” has a certain comfort food quality to us. 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
