And some with The Cat too.

Started out boring enough. Peanut butter sandwich on high fiber bread (you didn’t want a picture of that did you?) mad at home.

Started becoming interesting at lunch. Had to replace the cable remote.

Nearest thing was either a mini food court, Kincaid’s (too expensive for lunch) or The Old Spaghetti Factory. Haven’t been to spaghetti factory in decades. Pasta it is.

Small-kid time, we mixed the pasta in with the sauce. The restaurant spoons the sauce over cooked pasta. Minor detail, but kinda a big difference when small.

Nowadays, no beeg deal.

Interior hasn’t changed, just like I remember.

Slightly dark, gothic-ish.

Half expected for a mad scientist or Gene Wilder (RIP) to come around the corner. Or some old relative smelling of Tiger Balm. Hee hee.

Ordered the lunch special.

This time around, did not mind the sauce over pasta style. Guess as The Mouse gets older, his palateĀ gets more accommodating. šŸ™‚

And of course, bread is included.

Good for giving the dishwasher a head start.

Pasta? What pasta?

Pasta? What pasta?

Heh heh.

For dinner, The Cat wanted to try someplace her haircutter recommended.

Tea Leaf Salad

Tea Leaf Salad

Fermented tea leaves, fried lentils, toasted peanuts, sesame seeds, fried garlic, dried shrimp, and diced tomatoes, tossed at the table, no dressing except for the oil in the tea leaves and a squeeze of lemon.

The Cat liked. The Mouse not so much, thought too crunchy, a little too rich, and not enough lettuce to offset the other ingredients.

Mango Chicken

A little sweet and sour action going on. Not bad.

Stir-fried Mixed Vegetable Curry

Mild. Again, not bad.

Lastly, ordered “Burmese” rice, at the suggestion of the server.

Both The Cat and The Mouse not fans of the rice. Reminded me of boxed instant rice. Not sticky at all. Meh.

I think The Cat would return just for the tea salad. The Mouse is still thinking about the prospect.

But … try try.

Enjoy. Eat well.
