AKA smoked pork.
New vendor at the farmers market this past weekend.
Sorry, lighting was unfavorable and crappy camera in phone. Basically, venture smoking meats and pickling vegetables and fruit. Here’s the write-up from a local business paper:
Even cold, the meat smelled wonderful.
Pick up a package of their “smoked meat”.
Now the logical thing to do would be to go over to the pa’i ‘ai (pounded taro, undiluted) vendor and pick up a package. But didn’t have enough change in my pocket that day.
Settled for the next best thing.
Used to be a local company, now located on the mainland. In my mind, a perfectly acceptable substitute.
Finally got into the package last night.
Sweet rolls, smoked meat, greens. With a little bit of brown mustard on the side. Major nom!
That package will last several days. Have to have enough coin in the pocket maybe the following weekend … smoked meat and pa’i ‘ai … drool. 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
