Neither The Mouse nor The Cat picked the place, The Cat’s female parental unit (FPU) did. Funny as how neither The Cat nor her FPU can handle any kind of heat.
Heh heh, just kidding. Restaurant does provide regular menus, in English, for those who are linguistically challenged. Nice decoration though. 🙂
Menu has some interesting dishes.
It was a toss-up between the intestine and snout. Soft or crunchy. The Mouse went with the intestines.
Kinda lacking flavor, good thing there was vinegar and shoyu on the table. Maybe try the snout next time.
Not bad, I think we’re used to Kin Wah’s one more.
Spicy hot, even though the server said it was mild. Relativity.
Didn’t get to try this one. FPU took it for herself (took home the leftovers too). Sigh.
The Cat said one of her favorite small-kid time dishes. First day not much taste. Tonight (as leftover), much better, flavor must have soaked in.
Highpoint of the meal. Very flavorful. An update, the second dish we brought home. Tonight, more spicy. Needs rice.
Over all, a few hits, a few misses. Must be interesting enough for The Cat to think about going back again to try different things. Chef is from Jiang Xi, maybe next time we try the dishes where he’s from.
Hope you had a good weekend and female parental unit day (if you qualify). 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
