Lunch was a surprise.
Went to Foodland to “browse” for lunch. Poke bowl, sandwich, cold cuts, uhm, nah.
Then I saw the sign (not in a philosophical, spiritual, religious way), an actual sign. 🙂
Two scoops of brown rice, potato salad, and two slabs of chicken katsu (more like chicken cutlet). Passed on the sauce (only packaged sauce offered).
The reason for my choice?
It’s good to have the Maika‘i Card! 🙂
FYI: maika‘i in Hawaiian is “good”, so Foodland offers a “good” card. Hee hee.
Couldn’t go to Sweet Home Aunty (renamed Aunty Ramen) tonight, The Cat went yesterday for lunch.
Ended up at Sweet Home Glad (no relation, I think).
Some small plates (and bowl). Most you’ve seen, I think.
Fried sweet potato, eggplant, salt & pepper shrimp, won ton noodle soup. $3.25 each! Cheap eats!
Comes with rice and soy beans. $6.75 … kaching!
Our “splurge” of the day.
Served in mason jars. Cute.
Not real expensive, just compared with the food, a little bit. Borderline cheap eats (or drinks in this case). 🙂
Heading out to the farmers market then taking The Cat’s female parental unit to lunch. Wish us luck.
Happy Female Parental Unit’s Day (if you are so inclined)!
Enjoy. Eat well.
