As mentioned in the previous post, ended up here on Saturday.
Snuck in a couple of minutes before their lunch closing (a quick check on Yelp helped make the choice).
Went with the Wagaya Ramen (Shiro), non-spicy.
Tonkotsu Shoyu broth with 2pc char siu, soft-boiled egg, na no hana, wood ear mushrooms, sesame, nori, green onion.
One taste, OMG! Almost p’d in my pants (just being ). The broth is the key, rich without being overly thick, just awesome. The soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked.
Also ordered the “lunch special” option A.
Char siu and green onion over rice with a sweet shoyu sauce.
House made Japanese style gyoza with pork, chives and cabbage.
These dishes were also knock my socks of good.
And for the full tasting experience, ordered dessert.
More awesomeness. The dessert came with chopped mac nuts sprinkled on top, not a fan, the one “complaint” of the meal. The mac nut cream was great, just not the nuts.
Definitely will return. Maybe next time with The Cat.
Sometimes, getting “lost” is a good thing. Was it JRR Tolkien that wrote “Not all those who wander are lost”?
Saturday lunch – Happy Mouse. 🙂
