Hello, I am The Mouse, and I am lactose intolerant. There, it’s out. Whew! Hee hee.
Yesterday, was a tempt fate kinda day.
Someone brought back from their visit to the ninth Hawaiian island. I personally would have preferred the cinnamon flavored chips but can’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
Stopped in here waiting for the bus.
Been curious about this for a long time,
Ham, Jarlsberg & Dijon Sandwich
A sandwich of thick cut Black Forest ham, Jarlsberg cheese and Dijon mustard is just the thing to ward off the hunger and get back out there chopping wood or hunting bears or whatever awesome thing you’re doing today. (From the Jamba Juice website).
But always was too “chicken”.
Since I already “fell off the wagon” earlier …
Picked up a still frozen one and toasted it at home.
Mmm. Crispy, crunchy, salty, and gooey. Definitely one of my new favorites (in moderation of course).
Finally, one of The Cat’s clients brought these to The Cat’s office the other day.
When the client picked up her finished tax return.
Being that the pastries are very perishable (even stored in the refig) … and that, as of yesterday, they were already a day old …
The Mouse ate two. 🙂
Good thing I carry around an ample supply of lactase pills.
The pills are not 100% effective (at least for me), but the pills do substantially reduce the after effects of consuming dairy.
Enjoy. Eat well.
