Trust me, it wasn’t planned, and it was … tell you later.
The Cat worked late. The Mouse left to his own.
Dinner started out “normal”. A bowl of quinoa, a few pieces of leftover kau yuk and char siu. Wanted something to cut the richness of the pork. Whipped up a raw onion “salad” (remember, The Cat’s not home). 🙂
A little salt and pepper, a drizzle of olive oil, “rest” for about an hour. Mmm.
More waiting for The Cat (at her office working on a deadline).
Got bored, started looking for something to nom. Remembered a box of chocolates from a new chocolate shop in the mall (we have two, one for each).
Chef supposedly won some kinda award for the dark chocolate “signature” chocolate and created the raspberry white chocolate heart to complement his “signature” square.
Shop employee said these were the best sellers, best to eat them together.
Tried the dark chocolate first then the raspberry white chocolate. The dark chocolate was too bitter for me, the raspberry was just okay.
So, now TMI. I love onions (cooked or raw), but for me, digesting raw onions is a … process (that’s why I tend to eat ’em when The Cat’s not around).
Add chocolate to the mix … whooooeee. There was some gaseous fireworks going on. Not doing the onion and chocolate combo again. Heh heh.
Enjoy. Eat well.
