New impulse buy.
Kinda cute, shaped like a lime, not sure how this plastic container is supposed to keep cut lemons and limes fresher though. At least it was cheap.
According to Wiki, black salt (kala namak?) has a slight sour taste. Tonight, tried it to season a stir-fry.
Not knowing the potency of the salt, erred on the side of caution and used a tiny bit. There was a slight pungent smell, not enough to smell like “rotten eggs”. Just a faint fermented smell, which I’m ok with. Taste was mildly fermented, in a good way.
Last working Sunday … free at last!
