’tis the season, plus running around for a couple of job interviews, took me out of my normal travel routes and eating schedules. Needed comfort food. Won Ton Mein. One of the greatest comfort foods ever invented (in my opinion).
First one (the other day) was from Kin Wah Chop Suey (neighborhood go-to).
Think the deluxe bowl. Accompanied by the requisite hot mustard and shoyu mix (for some reason, The Cat doesn’t understand the hot mustard and shoyu thing, must be a regional taste).
Yesterday, more running around. Revisited a place I haven’t been to in a long long time.
Been around for 80 years, must be doing something right. Even forgot there’s a little koi pond on the premise.
Combo is an actual menu item. It’s there, trust me. Another thing The Cat doesn’t understand. A very local thing.
Heading to a Christmas Eve dinner with one of our mentors and her family.
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas, may the force (oops sorry “Freudian slip”) may you wishes come true, “and whirled peas”. Hee hee.
Enjoy. Eat well.
