Both unplanned … kinda.
First one, leftover from The Cat’s lunch (mousie bag). Added to next day’s home lunch.
Start with quinoa and azuki beans, add celery, top with contents of the mousie bag (some fried noodles, long beans, sliced beef (or pork, couldn’t tell), and one piece of lu rou.
It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.
The other day, wanted to try this.
Kitchen didn’t have enough Okinawan sweet potato to make the dish. Sigh.
Ended up with this.
Soft boiled egg included, topped with bonito shavings. This was awesome! Just the right amount of spice (I think Bulldog sauce was part of the ingredients), the soft-boiled egg was a plus, and the bonito flakes, well I love bonito flakes. Dried, salty, slightly fermented. Drove the preschool director from the office (some people just don’t appreciate “funk”. 🙂
Wait a minute, next time I need “no interruption” time, I’ll go get an order of yakisoba. Yeah!
Still would like to try the croquette though.
Enjoy. Eat well.
